Lectures and Presentations

Inspiring stories about nature, hiking, and adventure

Every journey begins with a single step. Sometimes it’s the decision to set out on your first hike; other times, it’s a dream of a canoeing trip, the winter wilderness, or distant mountains. Through lectures and talks, I share experiences, practical tips, and stories that inspire you to explore nature safely while respecting your own limits.

My talks are based on my own experiences over the years—from hikes, ski tours, packraft trips, and cycling adventures both in Finland and in the world’s most spectacular mountain landscapes. The goal is to provide the audience with practical information, new perspectives, and, above all, inspiration for spending time in nature.

The lecture is suitable for corporate team-building and wellness days, associations, educational institutions, trade shows, and various other events. Each presentation can be tailored to the audience, theme, and available time.

Lecturer

For me, hiking has been, above all, a way to see the world, learn new things, and discover places I would never otherwise end up visiting.

My first overnight hike took me to Urho Kekkonen National Park in 2015. Before that, I’d gone on numerous day hikes and experienced my first mountain hike in Slovenia. As incredible as it may sound, right after that first hike, I knew I’d found a hobby—a way of life—that would stay with me for the rest of my life.

The very next year, I was in the Himalayas on a nearly three-week trek to Everest Base Camp. That same year, I also hiked in Chile’s Torres del Paine National Park. Since then, my adventures have taken me more and more often to the wilderness of the north—on ski tours, long packrafting adventures, bike tours, and hikes in areas where the tranquility of nature is still at its most authentic.

Over the years, I’ve traveled to places such as Everest Base Camp in Nepal, Torres del Paine in Chile, Huascarán National Park in Peru, the Karhunkierros Trail, ski tours to Haltia,

the Kungsleden trail, Sarek National Park, and on numerous trips in the wilderness areas of Käsivarsi and Kaldoaivi. I’ve also paddled my packraft on wilderness rivers such as the Ivalojoki, Poroeno, Lätäseno, and Pöyrisjoki.

In addition to hiking, I’ve wanted to make it easier for others to get out into nature. I started renting out my first hiking gear as early as 2017—back then, a good bag of coffee was enough as payment. The idea was simple: high-quality gear should be accessible to everyone. This idea later gave rise to Tales & Tents.

My talks combine practical experience, successes, failures, and stories from over the years. I want to offer my audience concrete tips, spark ideas, and, above all, encourage them to set out on their own adventures. The greatest experiences aren’t found on the world’s highest mountains—they often begin the moment the spark to set out on a trip and break away from everyday life is ignited.
